Our formula relies exclusively on 20% Non-Nano Zinc Oxide a physical (mineral) UV filter that sits on top of the skin creating a protective barrier that reflects and scatters UV rays rather than absorbing them. Unlike chemical sunscreens that need 15-20 minutes to become effective mineral sunscreens work immediately upon application. Zinc Oxide is the only single ingredient that provides true broad-spectrum protection covering the entire UVB and UVA spectrum including the difficult-to-block UVA1 rays. The non-nano particle size (larger than 100 nanometers) ensures the zinc stays on the skin surface and doesn’t penetrate into living tissue addressing concerns about nanoparticle absorption. Our formula is also reef-safe free from oxybenzone and octinoxate which have been shown to contribute to coral bleaching making it safe for ocean swimming. Additional skin-loving ingredients include Squalane for moisture without clogging pores Bisabolol derived from chamomile for anti-inflammatory benefits and Vitamin E for antioxidant protection. How to use: Apply liberally to face and body 15 minutes before sun exposure. The slight white cast can be minimized by warming the product between palms before applying and blending thoroughly. Reapply every 2 hours. Water-resistant for 40 minutes.
